Paying municipal taxes

You can pay municipal taxes (property tax, sewage charges and waste collection charges) in 2 different ways: You can pay the assessment yourself or via direct debit.

What do I need to do?

Self-transfer in 3 installments

If you want to transfer the assessment amount yourself, you must ensure timely payment. The assessment can then be paid in a maximum of 3 equal installments. You can find the payment terms on the front of the assessment notice. You can transfer the installment amounts to account number NL22 BNGH 0285.055.313 of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, stating the assessment number. Do you want to pay the assessment in 8 monthly installments? Then fill in the authorization form.

Paying via direct debit in 8 installments

If you have previously authorized us for direct debit, the assessment will be debited from your account in 8 equal installments around the due dates stated on the assessment notice.

If the amount of your assessment is €90.00 or less, the amount due will be collected in 3 equal monthly installments. All you have to do is ensure sufficient funds in your account on the dates mentioned.

Authorization for the start of the first payment term

If you authorize the municipality before the first payment term of the assessment expires, the assessment amount will be debited in 8 monthly installments.

Have any payment deadlines already passed?

In that case, the assessment will be debited in the remaining payment terms. For clarification, here's an example:

You have received an assessment with the date of February 15th of the year. The first payment term expires on March 31st. You authorize the municipality on July 1st of that year for direct debit. At that moment, 4 payment terms have expired (March, April, May, and June). The assessment will then not be debited in 8 installments, but in 4 installments.

Please note! If the monthly direct debit fails twice due to, for example, insufficient funds, your authorization will be revoked by the municipality. You must then ensure that the amount still to be paid is credited to account NL22 BNGH 0285.055.313 of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, stating the assessment number, no later than the end of the following month.

Not yet using direct debit?

You can authorize the municipality to automatically debit your account for the assessment via a digital form (with DigiD). You can also use this form to change your account number or stop the direct debit.

No DigiD? Then fill in the authorization form that you find with the assessment, or request the form via email belasting@t-diel.nl.

Paying from abroad

If you want to pay an assessment from abroad, you must always state the IBAN number and BIC code of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel.

  • IBAN number: NL22 BNGH 0285.055.313
  • BIC code: BNGHNL2G

Exception

If the amount of your assessment is higher than € 4,000.00, you cannot pay in installments. You then have 3 months to pay the amount in one go.
