Frisian in the municipality

Many residents of our municipality have Frisian as their mother tongue. For them, Frisian forms an important part of their identity. As a municipality, we therefore want to make every effort to preserve and strengthen the Frisian language. Here you can read how we want to give Frisian a prominent place in our work and how we want to use Frisian in our interactions with residents, companies and social organizations.
