Building with a permit: notification of commencement and completion

Do you have an environmental permit to build, renovate, or change the use of the building? Then you must report the start of the work and the completion of the building to the municipality. A building for which a permit has been granted may not be used if it has not yet been reported as ready.

Report the start / completion

If you are going to build or renovate and your structure falls under consequence class 1, different rules apply. Please see the Quality Assurance for Construction Act (Wkb) page for more information.

How does it work?

Start notification

Unless stated otherwise in the permit, the start of construction must be reported to the municipality in writing at least 2 days before the start of work. The excavation of the building pit, start of pile driving and pouring of concrete must also be reported. Check the permit for the specifics of the regulations/comments. You can submit the start notification using the notification form above.

Completion report

Unless stated otherwise in the permit, the completion of the construction must be reported to the municipality on the last day of construction work. You can report the completion using the online form above. You can also call 14 0511. You will need the permit number.

How much does it cost?

Reporting the start and completion of construction work is free of charge.
