What is an annual report?

The annual report is the final fixed document of the budget cycle. The executive board (College van B&W) informs the council to what extent the plans have been implemented and what this has cost. The executive board is therefore accountable to the council.

Is the annual report legally required?

Yes. This is laid down in the Municipalities Act.

When are the annual accounts approved?

The council approves the annual accounts annually in June. This approval takes place in the year following the year to which the budget related. The council must approve the annual accounts annually before July 15th.

How is the annual report structured?

The annual accounts have the same structure as the budget. They consist of programs and sections.
