Financial Statements

At the end of the year, the council adopts the financial statements. The financial statements show the extent to which the plans were carried out and what it cost.

What is a financial statement?

The financial statements are the last set document of the budget cycle. The college of B&W reports to the council to what extent the plans have been implemented and what this has cost. Thus, the college of B&W is accountable to the council.

Are financial statements required by law?

Yes. This is stipulated in the Municipal Law.

When will the financial statements be adopted?

The council adopts the financial statements annually in June. This adoption takes place in the year following the year, to which the budget related. The council must adopt the financial statements annually by July 15.

How are the financial statements structured?

The financial statements have the same structure as the budget. It consists of programs and paragraphs.
