Young cyber heroes in Tytsjerksteradiel honored

More and more children in the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel know how to use the internet safely. Recently, many primary school pupils took part in HackShield. In this game, children learn how to protect themselves and others from online dangers. In this way, they are trained to become real cyber agents.

On Wednesday, January 28, the three students with the highest scores were honored at the town hall. The new mayor, Kanter Breuker, presented them with their prizes. The children received a nice reward for their efforts and achievements.

Boargemaster Kanter Breuker: "It's wonderful to see how these kids, with the help of HackShield, are working towards a safer internet. They show that even young people can make a big difference."

The municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel is proud of these young cyber agents. Their participation has better prepared them for the digital world. They also help to make our municipality safer.

HackShield shows children in a playful way how they can recognize online crime. They learn what to look out for and how to protect themselves. In doing so, they contribute to a safer digital environment for everyone.

Continued Hackshield

The municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel believes it is important for children to learn at an early age about the dangers they may encounter online. That is why the municipality continues to collaborate with HackShield. This fall, the program will be offered free of charge to all elementary schools in Tytsjerksteradiel, so that students can work on their digital resilience in a playful and educational way.
