Candidate lists and declarations of support

Political parties participating in municipal elections for the first time require statements of support from voters. From January 19 to February 2, 2026, you can submit such a statement during our opening hours for political parties that wish to participate. To do so, please make an appointment via the website.

When is a declaration of support required?

A declaration of support is required in order to participate in municipal elections as a political party. Political parties need 20 declarations of support if they are participating in elections for the first time. How do I make the statement?

Submitting a statement of support works as follows:

• The party for which you wish to complete the declaration will provide you with the "Declaration of Support" form (model H4). This includes the party's list of candidates.
• Fill in the declaration of support. Please note: do not sign it yet. You will do this at the counter in the town hall.
• It is preferable to make an appointment to submit your statement of support. For these elections, you can do so from January 19 to February 2, 2026. You can also drop by without an appointment; in that case, please report to the reception desk.
• Take the completed declaration of support to the town hall, with the full list of candidates on it. Also bring your ID with you.
• Sign your name at the counter.
