Private parties

For a private party on your own property, such as garden parties or birthday parties, an event permit is not required. However, a small event notification may be necessary. This is required when some noise pollution is expected (for example, in the form of amplified music) or when holding a private party on municipal property (for example, in a playground in the residential area).

Exemption from noise restrictions for private parties

The municipality only grants noise exemptions for wedding parties and company parties. The maximum end time for amplified music is 12:00 AM on Sunday to Thursday evenings and 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday evenings.

No sound exemption will be granted for any other private parties (such as garden parties or birthday parties).

Does the route of the competition or tour you are organizing run through several municipalities?

If the route of the competition or tour you are organizing runs through several municipalities, you must apply for an event permit from the municipality where the start and finish are located.

Permission to use public roads

From the other municipalities, you need permission to use the public road. This is called a 'declaration of no objection'. You can send an email to evenementen@t-diel.nl or by post to the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, Postbus 3, 9250 AA Burgum. Please provide the following information:

  • number of expected participants;
  • date and passage times;
  • the route drawn on a map. On this, mark which streets will be closed and which roads you will cross;
  • or you are using traffic controllers.

Permission to use provincial roads

Do you use provincial roads? Then you need permission from the province. Read more about the use of provincial roads on the website of the province of Fryslân.
