Notification small event

Are you organizing a small event, such as a street party or neighborhood barbecue? Then you do not need to apply for a permit. You make a notification at least 3 weeks before the day of the event. You will receive confirmation of receipt after your notification. You will then receive a response from us as soon as possible. There are no costs associated with a notification.

Conditions small event (notification) 

  • It takes place outdoors; 
  • up to 150 people; 
  •  A maximum of 2 streets at a barbecue or street party; 
  • From Sunday through Thursday after 11 p.m. no amplified and/or live music. On Friday and Saturday after 00.00 hrs. no amplified and/or live music; 
  • traffic and emergency services have free passage; 
  • Per street a maximum of 2 objects of maximum 25 m2 per object; 
  • There is an identifiable organizer.

Private parties

A private party on private property, such as garden parties or birthday parties, does not require an event permit. However, a notification small event may be required. This is required when some degree of noise pollution is expected (for example, in the form of amplified music) or when holding a private party on municipal property (for example, in a residential neighborhood playground).

Noise exemption for private parties 

The municipality only grants a noise exemption for wedding parties and corporate parties. The maximum end time of amplified music is 24:00 on Sunday through Thursday nights and 02:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. 

All other private parties (such as garden parties or birthday parties) will not be granted noise waivers.

Does the route of the race or ride you are organizing pass through several municipalities?If so, apply for an event permit from the municipality in which the starting point and finish line are located.

Permission to use public road

From other municipalities, you need permission to use the public road. This is called a declaration of no objection. For this you can send an e-mail to evenementen@t-diel.nl or by mail to Municipality Tytsjerksteradiel, Postbus 3, 9250 AA Burgum. You must supply at least the following information:

  • number of expected participants;
  • date and passage times;
  • drawn the route on a map. On this you mark which streets will be closed and which roads you will cross;
  • Whether you are using traffic controllers.
