Volunteer insurance is insurance with what is called secondary coverage. This means that the claim will only be considered if the damage is not covered on another insurance policy.

Notice:

Not all damage is covered by volunteer insurance! Please note that certain types of coverage may be subject to an excess and that a maximum compensation amount may apply per claim.

Therefore, always seek advice from an insurer or insurance broker for your foundation or association! This also applies to personal liability insurance if your foundation or association has not yet taken out a policy.

Volunteers are automatically insured on the volunteer insurance policy (secondary and in accordance with policy and general conditions) and therefore do not need to apply.

How does it work?

If you have suffered damage or caused damage as a volunteer, you must first report this damage to your own insurer. If your insurer (and the insurer of the possible third party) does not provide any or full coverage for this, you can fill in the damage claim form. You must email this form together with a copy or copies of the partial rejection(s) to gemeente@t-diel.nl. After receiving this complete information , the municipality will send it to Centraal Beheer. Centraal Beheer will handle the claim.
