Volunteer insurance

The municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel has taken out volunteer insurance with Centraal Beheer.

Including:

  • an explanation,
  • a brochure,
  • an insurance overview,
  • the policy and general terms and conditions,
  • a video,
  • frequently asked questions and
  • a claim form

you can visit the Centraal Beheer website,

The volunteer insurance is an insurance with so-called secondary coverage. This means that the claim will only be processed if the damage is not covered by another insurance.

Please note:

Not all damage is insured under the volunteer insurance! Therefore, always seek advice from an insurer/insurance intermediary for your foundation/association! Also, regarding your own liability insurance if your foundation/association has not yet taken one out.

The volunteers are automatically insured under the volunteer insurance (secondary and in accordance with policy and general conditions) and therefore do not need to register.

How does it work?

If you as a volunteer have suffered damage or caused damage, you must first report this damage to your own insurer. If your insurer (and the insurer of the possible third party) does not offer any or full coverage for this, you can fill in a damage claim form. This form must be emailed together with (a) copy(ies) of the (partial) rejection(s) to gemeente@t-diel.nl. After receiving these complete details, they will be sent by the municipality to Centraal Beheer. Centraal Beheer will handle the damage claim.
