Volunteer insurance is insurance with what is called secondary coverage. This means that the claim will only be considered if the damage is not covered on another insurance policy.

Notice:

Not all damage is covered by the volunteer insurance! Always get advice from an insurer/insurance broker! Also with regard to your own liability insurance if it has not yet been taken out by your foundation/association.

Volunteers are automatically insured on the volunteer insurance policy (secondary and in accordance with policy and general conditions) and therefore do not need to apply.

How does it work?

If, as a volunteer, you have sustained damage or caused damage, you should first report this damage to your own insurer. If your insurer (and the insurer of the possible third party) offers no or no full coverage for this, you can fill out claim form. You should mail this form together with (a) copy(s) of the (partial) rejection(s) to gemeente@t-diel.nl. Upon receipt of this complete information, it will be sent by the municipality to Centraal Beheer. Centraal Beheer will handle the claim.
