Municipal Electoral Commission meetings

The results of the election will be announced on Thursday, March 19, 2026. This will take place during a public session of the Municipal Electoral Committee. The central vote count will also take place during this session.

• Start and end time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Location: Nije Westermar Sports Facility, Burgum

How does it work?

On election day, votes are counted at the list level starting at 9 p.m. During the central count, votes are counted at candidate level and all official reports are checked first. In the event of counting errors or unexplained discrepancies, a recount of the relevant list(s) or polling station(s) will be carried out on the spot by the members and supporters of the Municipal Electoral Committee.

Any errors are corrected. The votes are then entered. Finally, the official report with the results is printed, read aloud, and signed by the members of the Municipal Electoral Committee.

Would you like to attend a hearing?

Interested parties may attend this public hearing. Interested parties may submit objections verbally. These objections will be recorded in the minutes. The minutes will be available for inspection at the town hall immediately after the hearing (by appointment). Please call14 0511first to make an appointment.
