Serving alcohol during events

If you want to serve and sell alcohol during an event, you need an exemption from the municipality.

How does it work?

You can apply for an exemption using the online application form.

What do you submit?

In addition to the completed form, we need the following from you or your supervisor:

  • Social Hygiene Diploma;
  • Copy of identity document.

You will receive an exemption for light alcoholic beverages for a maximum of 12 days.

Conditions

The following conditions apply to serving and selling alcohol during an event:

  • You are not allowed to serve and sell alcohol to children under the age of 18.
  • You are not allowed to serve or sell strong alcoholic beverages (>15% alcohol) at the event.
  • The person in charge of the alcohol: is at least 21 years old and of good conduct (no criminal record).

No permit or exemption needed

If you want to serve alcohol at a private party, you do not need to apply for an Alcohol Act permit or exemption.
