Privacy

At the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, we believe it is important to handle your personal data with care. That is why we have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) ensures that the municipality handles your personal data properly. The DPO is independent and provides advice on privacy to the administration and staff.

We handle your data with care, securely, and in accordance with the law. The Data Protection Officer oversees this process. You can contact the Data Protection Officer with any questions or complaints regarding your privacy.

The FG also serves as the point of contact for the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We generally process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Special Investigators

Our special investigators also have duties that involve investigating criminal offenses or enforcing public order and compulsory education. The Police Data Act (Wpg) applies to those specific duties.

The Wpg imposes additional requirements. For example, there is an annual audit, and there are rules governing the sharing of data with other investigative agencies. The Data Protection Officer verifies that we are complying with these rules.

Questions or complaints?

Do you have a question about your privacy? Or are you dissatisfied with how we handle your data? If so, please contact the Data Protection Officer at fgtd@t-diel.nl.
