Single-earner issues

A group of households receives too little benefits from the Tax Authorities due to an unfortunate combination of laws and regulations. As a result, their income falls below the level of households with full social assistance benefits, and therefore below the subsistence level.

Which households are affected?

We have received an overview from the Tax and Customs Administration with the number of households that can receive compensation from us. We adhere to this overview for the payment of the compensation. If you fall under this scheme, you do not have to do anything. You will receive a letter from us.

How high is the compensation?

• 2023, 2024 and 2025: €1,000 per year, per household.
• 2026 and 2027: compensation amount not yet known.
