Single-earner problem

A group of households receive too few benefits from the Tax Administration due to an unfortunate confluence of laws and regulations. As a result, income falls below the level of households on full welfare benefits, and thus below the subsistence level.

Which households are involved?

We have received an overview from the Tax Office with the number of households that can receive compensation from us. We use this overview for the payment of the compensation. If you fall under this scheme, you do not have to do anything. You will receive a letter from us.

How high is the compensation?

• 2023, 2024 and 2025: €1,000 per year, per household.
• 2026 and 2027: compensation amount not yet known.
