Alliade supervisors learn more about movement stimulation in clients
How do you get people with disabilities to exercise more? That was the central question during the inspiration session 'Moving on location' at day care center De Jister in Burgum. Alliade supervisors were given practical tools to make exercise more accessible for their clients.
The municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel and Alliade organized the meeting as part of the Month of Adapted Sports. This month the municipality draws extra attention to the importance of sports and exercise for people with disabilities.
Everyone 'yn motion'
Councilwoman and ambassador for adapted sports Caroline de Pee opened the afternoon: "Everyone deserves the chance to move, regardless of disability or impairment. With this meeting we inspire facilitators to apply movement in their daily work." Neighborhood sports coach Rianne Wiersma gave the participants practical tips that they can start working with immediately at their own location."Bewege mei in handicap kinst hiel goed stimulearje yn deistige begelieding. Ek sûnder sport materials or grutte romten is mear bewege al gau mooglik. I hope we will get even more minsken yn beweging mei dizze ynspiraasje!"
Come ek yn beweging!
