Policy plan on poverty, debt, and prevention adopted
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the municipal council of Tytsjerksteradiel adopted the Poverty, Debt, and Prevention Policy Plan. This policy plan outlines how the municipality intends to ensure that residents can make ends meet, participate in society, and avoid problematic debt in the coming years.
With this plan, we are focusing on:
- clear and easily accessible minimum income schemes;
- accessible financial assistance;
- prevention and early detection;
- strengthening cooperation with social partners.
Implementation plan
We are working with an implementation plan for the policy plan. This plan provides an overview of the actions that the municipality will take in the coming years to achieve the goals relating to poverty, debt, and prevention. These include simplifying application procedures, developing explanatory videos in understandable language, and improving the website.
