Proof of sponsorship and/or lodging provision
To visit the Netherlands, some foreign visitors need a visa. To obtain this visa, a guarantor declaration is required in a number of cases.
In the proof of sponsorship and/or lodging you explain why you invited the person. For example, for a vacation. This helps the person to get the visa.

You can request proof of guarantee and/or accommodation provision in two ways:
Apply online
- You log in via Digi-D.
- Please fill in all the necessary information.
- You pay immediately via iDEAL.
- You submit your application.
- The proof of guarantee and/or accommodation provision will be sent to your home address by post, signed.

Apply at city hall
Use the form Proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the IND. Print the form and then follow these steps:
- You fill out the form. Note: do not sign it yet! You will do this at the municipality.
- Make an appointment.
- Visit the municipality in person to legalize your signature.
- If you are a guarantor for the person, you put your signature on the form. Your spouse or registered partner must also sign the form at the municipality.
- Are you not a guarantor, but the person is staying with you? Then just put your signature on the form.
- You pay the cost of legalization.
- You send the form to the person you invited.
Statement
In the proof of sponsorship and/or lodging you explain why you invited the person. For example, for vacation. This allows this person to show what he/she is going to the Netherlands for. This helps to get the visa. Does the person get the visa? Then he/she may stay here for a maximum of 3 months.
