Client Council

The Client Council for Work and Income represents the interests of residents in Tytsjerksteradiel who have to live on a minimum income. The Client Council has an advisory role to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the municipality. The Board ultimately makes the decisions.

Solicited and unsolicited advice

The Client Council for Work and Income provides solicited and unsolicited advice to the municipality. Sometimes the municipality asks the Client Council to give its opinion on, for example, policies that are being changed.

The Client Council also writes its own recommendations, drawing attention to issues that are important to them. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen may choose to include this advice in their decision-making process.
