Code red due to freezing rain
Due to a Code Red weather alert caused by freezing rain, the town hall, recycling center, and composting site will be closed today. The sports facilities will reopen at 2:00 p.m.
Due to freezing rain and slippery conditions, we have had to adjust our services today, Wednesday, February 4. Below you can read what this means.
Town hall closed
The town hall is closed today. However, we can still be reached by telephone.
Sports facilities open from 2:00 p.m.
All our sports facilities in the municipality will reopen at 2 p.m. For further information, keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook).
Composting site and recycling center closed
The composting site and recycling center are closed.
Waste collection
The waste collection routes will not be driven today, Wednesday, February 4. These routes will be made up on Friday, February 6.
A friendly request to our residents: please place your container on the roadside before 7 a.m. and make sure the lid of the container is loose so that the container can be emptied.
Ice control
Our colleagues who drive the gritting trucks are doing their utmost to get out on the roads. They are driving, but with considerable delays.
First, phase 1 will be started, which means that work will be carried out on the main roads, access roads, and bus routes to clear them of ice. Cycle paths will also be cleared of ice where necessary. Read how it works at Combating slippery conditions.
