Culture Note

Culture gives color to our lives, inspires us and confronts us with ourselves. Culture changes our minds and teaches us to be open and respectful of the other, of the past. At the same time, culture offers people the opportunity to express themselves, develop creativity, organize and be active. 

On November 25, 2021, the municipal council adopted the Kultuernota Ut de kûlizen, a joint outline cultural policy document for Tytsjerksteradiel and Achtkarspelen. Based on three themes, meidwaan, mei-inoar and nij & aktueel, we want to give a new impulse to cultural participation in both municipalities. In the coming years we will implement the activities in the implementation program of the culture note.
