Culture memorandum

Culture adds color to our lives, inspires us, and confronts us with ourselves. Culture makes us think differently and teaches us to be open and respect others and the past. At the same time, culture offers people the opportunity to express themselves, develop creativity, organize themselves, and be active. 

On November 25, 2021, the municipal council adopted the Culture Note 'Ut de kûlizen', a joint cultural memorandum outlining the main points for Tytsjerksteradiel and Achtkarspelen. Based on three themes, participation, cooperation and new & current, we want to give a new impulse to cultural participation in both municipalities. In the coming years, we will implement the activities in the implementation programme of the cultural memorandum.
