Festive celebration of sports champions in Tytsjerksteradiel
On Tuesday evening, no fewer than 65 sports champions from Tytsjerksteradiel took to the stage at It Maskelyn for the 2025 Sports Champions Awards. Together with family members, fans, and trainers, they celebrated their sporting achievements.

Alderman Doeke Fokkema honored the champions and expressed his appreciation to all athletes: "These top performances show what is possible when talent, determination, and support from parents, clubs, and trainers come together. As a municipality, we are very proud of all of you!"
Fokkema also emphasized the importance of a strong community life.
"Our association promotes sports and exercise in the municipality. We are grateful to all the volunteers who contribute to this."
Sports champions
Athletes and sports teams who won a Frisian, national, or international title in 2025 could register to be honored. All kinds of sports were represented during the ceremony, from BMX riding to combined driving and from speed skating to gymnastics.
