Tytsjerksteradiel Municipal Executive Seeks More Time

Prospective alderwoman Dineke Wagenaar has decided not to take office on behalf of the VVD in the new municipal executive. She informed the city council of this decision this evening. The VVD caucus will now seek a new candidate. This means that the planned swearing-in of the new municipal executive on July 2 will not take place.

Coalition Agreement Based on a Broadly Supported City Council Program

Based on a broadly supported council program adopted by the council in May, the four parties intended to form the municipal executive—the CDA, FNP, PRO, and VVD—have recently worked together intensively and harmoniously to draft a coalition agreement and allocate portfolios.

As soon as the VVD’s new candidate for alderman is announced, a new date will be set for the swearing-in of the new municipal executive. The coalition agreement will also be presented at that time. This is expected to take place after the summer recess.
