On Friday, November 21, Alderman Caroline de Pee visited four entrepreneurs from Tytsjerksteradiel during the national Day of the Entrepreneur. With a personal visit and a gift, the municipality let it be known how 'grutsk' it is at their effort, courage and commitment.

The entrepreneurs visited were nominated in recent weeks by residents and fellow entrepreneurs. Alderman De Pee saw four fine examples of entrepreneurship in Tytsjerksteradiel today:

  • Douwe Pieter and Jacob Reitsma of Bouwbedrijf Reitsma in Hurdegaryp. After years of experience in construction, the brothers started their own company in 2019. They are always ready for their customers and are now a familiar name in the Fryske Wâlden.
  • Martine Dijkstra-Hoekstra of Hondenschool Martine from Burgum. Clients think she has the nicest dog school in the region. With her experience as a veterinary assistant and her own way of teaching, she helps owners and dogs with great knowledge and pleasure.
  • Tsjibbe, Anne and Gerrit van der Meulen of BHB Bouw from Sumar. Together, the three brothers have more than 75 years of experience in construction. True professionals who do what they promise and build with conviction and quality.
  • Marjanke Wagenaar of Hipp from Burgum. Marjanke is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her fashion business this year. She does everything herself: from sales to accounting and marketing. Despite the growth of online shopping, customers know very well how to find her in Burgum.

Attention

Councilwoman Caroline de Pee is pleased with the attention to the entrepreneurs in the municipality: "Our entrepreneurs are indispensable for the livability and development of our villages. Today we say: thank you for making this possible every day." The Day of the Entrepreneur is an initiative of MKB-Nederland and is celebrated annually in November. Municipalities across the country put entrepreneurs in the limelight on this day.
