Municipal Archives

The municipal archives of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel are currently not available for consultation at the town hall in Burgum. To ensure that the documents from the archive can be consulted, Tresoar temporarily offers a helping hand.

Would you like to request documents?

Email gemeente@t-diel.nl or call us at 14 0511. The documents are looked up and then taken to Tresoar in Leeuwarden and can be viewed in the Tresoar reading room. As soon as it is ready you will be called or emailed. This usually takes about 2 weeks.

Handy to know: once the documents are in Leeuwarden, you can view them at Tresoar from Monday to Friday by appointment.

Adjusted lead times in December 2025

The public archives will be closed from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026. If you submit a request between December 16 and January 1, we will process it starting January 2.
