Municipal Archives

The municipal archives of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel are currently not available for consultation at the town hall in Burgum. To ensure that the documents from the archive can be consulted, Tresoar temporarily offers a helping hand.

Would you like to request documents?

Email gemeente@t-diel.nl or call us at 14 0511. The documents are looked up and then taken to Tresoar in Leeuwarden and can be viewed in the Tresoar reading room. As soon as it is ready you will be called or emailed. This usually takes about 2 weeks.

Handy to know: once the documents are in Leeuwarden, you can view them at Tresoar from Monday to Friday by appointment.

From September 1 through February 1, the archive in Burgum will be undergoing renovations. This means that archival records will have to be retrieved temporarily from an off-site location. If you wish to request records during this period, you will be able to view them in the Tresoar reading room in Leeuwarden after approximately 4 weeks.

Public Archives Closed During Summer Vacation

From July 1 through August 31, the public archives will be closed for the summer break.
