Especially in these times when many people still work from home and we increasingly video call each other, we experience how important a stable and super-fast Internet connection is. Remote care also makes living at home longer possible and more and more "smart" devices can be found in a home. Fiberglass is much faster, more stable and reliable than the current Internet.

Fiber optic network in Tytsjerksteradiel

Following the construction of the fiber optic network in Burgum, we will soon also begin construction in the villages of Tytsjerksteradiel. This will connect another 8,000 homes to the fiber optic network after the 4,500 homes in Burgum. The construction is free and commits you to nothing. Glaspoort is laying a second network, so you will have access to multiple providers. The first fiber optic points have already been placed and residents can already use their new fiber optic services. 

There will be an information evening for village interests on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Construction of the network itself will take place in 2025.
