Hotspot list municipal archives

Hotspots are notable events or issues between the government and residents, or between residents themselves. They are issues that have a high impact on society.

If an event is designated as a hot spot, then all records relating to it must be preserved in perpetuity. For example, records and documents written or received by the municipality. But also other information such as posts on social media.

These events in Tytsjerksteradiel have been designated as hot spots

Coronapandemic

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially designated the outbreak of the new Coronavirus (also known as Covid-19 or SARS-CoV-2) as a pandemic. There was a lot of social uproar and attention in the Netherlands as well.

Ukraine shelter

Starting in March 2022, the Netherlands began receiving Ukrainians, with an initial large influx in the following weeks. This occurred initially in emergency shelters scattered across the country, and later in more structured reception facilities.

Refugees from Ukraine could take advantage of the special European directive on temporary protection, which gave them the right to stay, housing, health care and education.
