Help with household tasks

'Household help' means someone comes to help with cleaning, tidying, making beds, doing the dishes, and so on. You can hire a cleaning help or cleaning company yourself, for example. There are often various advertisements in newspapers offering help, and you can also check the advertisements in supermarkets. Request a quote from several people or cleaning companies to get an idea of the possible costs.

How does it work?

Being able to live independently for as long as possible is not self-evident for everyone. Performing household tasks can become increasingly difficult due to, for example, an illness, a disability, or old age. The Area Team (Gebiedsteam) can help with this.

Household help can include tasks such as washing windows, vacuuming or cleaning sanitary facilities. If you are unable to perform your household tasks properly due to old age, a physical disability or a mental disability, it is important to first seek a solution in your own environment. Perhaps your family or friends can help you. If you cannot get any or sufficient help from your environment, please contact the Community Support Team. They will work with you to determine what support you need.
