In conversation with the area team

Usually people solve problems themselves or with help from family, friends or neighbors. But sometimes that just doesn't work out. In that case, you can contact the area team of Tytsjerksteradiel.

We are here to help all residents in our municipality, young and old alike. Whether you have questions about work and income, healthcare, parenting, daytime activities, or applying for Wmo benefits.

You can contact the Area Team with questions about:

  • Work and income, but also debt (Participation Act). This includes benefits, help with finding work, or debt counseling.
  • Help and support for children, young people, and parents (Youth Act). This includes parenting support or guidance.
  • Living independently, participating in society (Social Support Act). Think of aids such as a wheelchair, but also daytime activities.

Everyone should be able to participate

We believe that everyone should be able to participate. We do everything we can to make that possible with our residents. Our employees help you get back on your feet. Our goal is to increase the self-reliance of our residents and to keep support in our municipalities affordable. Therefore, we first look together at your own possibilities and your own network. If necessary, we look with you for other support to help you on your way. If things don't work out, we are there for you!

Trustee

Anyone dealing with Youth Aid can seek help from a confidential advisor at the Advice and Complaints Office for Youth Care (AKJ). Every child, young person and parent or caregiver can get help from the AKJ. This organization is independent and autonomous. There is no connection with the municipality, Safe Home, Child Protection Council, or other youth care organizations.

More information can be found at: Confidential counsellors in youth assistance - AKJ

Registration of youth care workers

The government imposes strict requirements on youth care workers such as youth and family professionals, (ortho)pedagogues, and psychologists. Youth professionals are usually registered in the SKJ quality register. This ensures that the professional meets the strict requirements for professional competence and that he or she regularly undergoes mandatory training.

The SKJ register is public. You can check for yourself whether a youth care worker is registered. Are you dissatisfied with the professional conduct of the youth care worker? In that case, it is sometimes possible to file a complaint. More information can be found at skjeugd.nl.
