Purchasing chain approach to fall prevention
Physical therapists and MBvO (More Movement for the Elderly) teachers who teach fall prevention can use the "Open House" admission process. You can register at any time to enter into an agreement with the municipality.
An agreement with the municipality does not guarantee revenue. Residents themselves choose from contracted providers where they want to take the training. These fall prevention programs involve the recognized training courses In Balance and Otago from VeiligheidNL.
When do you qualify?
- You are a physical therapist or MBvO instructor;
- You work in the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel;
- You hold a degree in In Balance or Otago;
- You agree to the predetermined rates;
- You agree to the terms and conditions.
Changes to terms and conditions 2026
Starting in 2026, the rate for Otago training will change. The reason for this is that the training frequency will be adjusted: no longer twice a week, but once a week. As a result, the municipality will reimburse fewer hours than in 2025. Therefore, please carefully check the purchase documents for this change.
The fees for the Staying Balanced training course remain unchanged.
Please note: the hourly rates for both training courses are indexed.
