Youth Fund for Sports and Culture

Are you a parent who would like your child to participate in sports or cultural activities? 

That's totally possible with the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture. The Youth Fund will cover the costs for the club if you don't have enough money. And they'll help out if you need equipment, such as sportswear or dance shoes.

Where can I sign up?

There are two ways to register with the Fryslân Youth Fund for Sports & Culture:

1. You can submit an application yourself via samenvoorallekinderen.nl. A volunteer from Stichting Leergeld will then contact you and submit the application to us on behalf of the family.
2. Through a professional in education, a neighborhood social services team, debt counseling, youth services, health care, or social work. These professionals are called intermediaries. The intermediaries use allekinderendoenmee.nl .

What is the amount?

The subsidy is up to €500 (including a gift certificate) for sports, and up to €550 per child per year for cultural activities. 

For sports-related applications, this includes a possible contribution toward sports clothing and equipment of up to €100.

For cultural grant applications, this does not include any contribution toward clothing, props, or instrument rental. A voucher for props may only be submitted at the same time as the application.

Did you know that you can also apply for funding for all kinds of activities at and around the school? These might include, for example, field trips, school supplies, or a birthday box. These funds can also help cover the costs of music, drama, or dance lessons, as well as other expenses, such as Scouting.
