Youth nuisance

In our municipality, everyone should be able to feel comfortable and safe in their own living environment.

Sometimes young people cause a nuisance in public spaces. Examples are loud music, gathering in certain places, litter or intimidating behavior.
We take these signals seriously and always seek a good balance between livability, safety and the space young people need to congregate.

What does the congregation do?

We work closely with the police, youth work, schools and neighborhood residents to identify and address nuisances.
Our Boas (special investigating officers) are visibly present in places where youth nuisance occurs.
Where necessary, we engage with young people and their parents or guardians.
We are committed to prevention and youth participation because we believe that involved youth are less likely to cause nuisance.
