Kanter Breuker wurdt nije boargemaster Tytsjerksteradiel
The City Council recommends Kanter Breuker as the new mayor of Tytsjerksteradiel. The city council announced this tonight during an extra council meeting.
Kanter Breuker (56) of Leeuwarden was a notary until recently and now works as an independent organizational consultant. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
Opfolger fan Tineke Schokker - Strampel
Seven candidates applied for the position as successor to acting mayor Tineke Schokker - Strampel. The confidence committee described Kanter Breuker as a "noflik eigenwize" administrator who fits well with the municipality.
'We have come to know Kanter Breuker as a pleasant and approachable person with fresh ideas and his own view of the future. We are confident that he will become a mayor for and of the mienskip,' says chairman of the confidence committee Peter van de Hoef.

The nomination now goes to the Minister of the Interior. The appointment will then follow by Royal Decree. The final step is the official swearing-in by the King's Commissioner on Jan. 14, 2026.
