Pupils CBS de Arke have breakfast with mayor Tineke Schokker
On Friday morning, October 10, 31 enthusiastic students from group 7 of CBS De Arke in Burgum joined Mayor Tineke Schokker for a healthy and tasty breakfast. Together they kicked off the day energetically during the national Mayor's Breakfast, which calls attention to the importance of a healthy start to the day.
Getting active and healthy
The morning began athletically: the students fanatically engaged in a game with Blazepods. With this interactive game they worked playfully on their reaction speed, agility and coordination. That sure makes you hungry!
Fortunately, a healthy breakfast was waiting for them afterwards. The children received a special breakfast package that fully complied with the Nutrition Center's guidelines.
Together at the table for awareness
During breakfast, the children engaged in conversation with Mayor Tineke Schokker about their morning rituals, their dream jobs and even how often she has met the king. On the table were cards with statements about health, which made for lively discussions and surprising insights
Mayor Schokker looks back on a successful morning: "It is altyd fun to welcome young bern. Se hiene al in ferrassend goed byld fan wat in boargemaster docht. By the morning I murked that in so many berns find a sûn moarnsbrochje tasty and important. Een fan har sei: 'Yn it wykein ite wy ek echt wolris in stik bôle mei hagelslach!' And that may fansels ek wol sa no en dan."
