Multifunctional Center Tytsjerk

On September 16, 2021, the municipal council unanimously approved the proposal to build a multifunctional centre in Tytsjerk. This will house Ontmoetingsschool De Romte (Adenium), Dorpshuis Yn’e Mande, childcare organisation Kinderwoud and a gymnasium. The multifunctional centre will be located at the current location of Dorpshuis Yn ‘e Mande.

The idea of a multifunctional center in Tytsjerk arose from the merging of the primary schools into Ontmoetingsschool De Romte. And the pursuit of preserving the village hall as a place for meeting, culture, activities for all residents of Tytsjerk and much more.

Various functions

The functionality of the building is important. The education and development of the children are central. The building should support this in every possible way. The layout of the accommodation is functional and, where possible, multifunctional. In addition to the educational function, the building can also be used for childcare, meetings, sports, and work. The school playground will be designed as a public playground, which merges into the surroundings together with park Vijversburg.

Sustainability

The multifunctional center will be as sustainable a building as possible. We are considering solar panels, a heat pump, reuse of materials (circularity), and rainwater collection. We also want to give substance to corporate social responsibility.
