Environmental plan (formerly zoning plan)
The environmental plan contains general rules of the municipality for the physical living environment. The environment in which you live, work and spend your free time. The environmental plan clarifies which developments and initiatives are possible within an area. For example, the environmental plan indicates where homes, shops, businesses or catering establishments may be located. Every municipality has one environmental plan under the Environmental Act.
View environmental plan
You can view the zoning plan via Regulations on the map in the Environmental Desk. This works best on a regular computer or laptop. Search for the address in question via the search bar or click on the map. You will then see the applicable rules and plans.
Environmental plan replaces zoning plans
With the introduction of the Environment Act on 1 January 2024, zoning plans no longer exist. All existing adopted zoning plans and the adopted zoning plans that were made available for inspection in draft form before 1 January 2024 are part of the environmental plan.
