Draft Public Housing Program Available for Public Review

The Municipal Executive of Tytsjerksteradiel hereby announces that the draft Tytsjerksteradiel Public Housing Program will be available for public review for 6 weeks. The review period runs from June 18, 2026, through July 30, 2026. The draft Public Housing Program is the successor to the Tytsjerksteradiel Housing Vision (2019–2024).

Why this Draft Public Housing Program?

The program replaces the old Housing Vision in light of the upcoming Act on Strengthening the Management of Public Housing and provides guidance to developers and other stakeholders. It demonstrates:

  • that a significant step is being taken to make municipal housing goals more concrete and achievable;
  • that there is a coherent framework to accelerate housing construction, ensure affordability, and address an aging population, sustainability, and changing housing demand;
  • that the program has been translated into concrete actions to achieve the goals set out in the program.

This provides everyone with a clear framework for action and forms the basis for implementing housing policy in Tytsjerksteradiel.

What happens to your comment?

All comments will be compiled into a Statement of Views, which will be used in drafting the final Tytsjerksteradiel Public Housing Program. The Municipal Executive is expected to adopt the program in the fall of 2026.
