The Draft Tytsjerksteradiel Heating Plan 2026 is available for public review

Contents of the Heating Program

In this Heating Program, the municipality outlines its approach to insulating all buildings and making them energy-neutral by 2040. This includes an explanation of the preferred alternative to natural gas. It also explains the order in which areas will begin developing implementation plans to achieve energy neutrality.

EIA

Based on the plan-EIA assessment conducted, it has been determined that the heating program will not result in significant adverse environmental effects within the meaning of the Environment Act and the SMB Directive. A plan-EIA is therefore not required for the implementation of the current heating program. The plan-EIA assessment conducted has been included as an appendix to the heating program.

Where and when can you view the documents?

The Draft Tytsjerksteradiel Heating Program 2026 will be available for public viewing online at www.officiëlebekendmakingen.nl for a period of six weeks starting Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

In addition, the draft Tytsjerksteradiel Heating Program is available for review at the information desk in the town hall, located at Raadhuisweg 7 in Burgum.

How can you respond?

From Wednesday, March 25, to Thursday, May 7, 2026, anyone may submit a written and well-reasoned comment. Comments by mail may be sent to the Municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, P.O. Box 3, 9250 AA, Burgum, with the subject line “Comment on the Draft Burgum Heating Program 2026.” Comments via email can be sent to: duorsum@t-diel.nl. Anonymous comments will not be considered.
