Explanation of subsidy scheme 'Meeting and growing up sûn'

  • The maximum amount to be applied for per village is € 5715.
  • Spending of the funds must take place in 2024, that is, between Jan. 1, 2024 and Jan. 1, 2025.
  • Applicants who also receive other subsidies from the municipalities, for example from the Strengthening Social Basis subsidy scheme, should bear in mind that there should be no duplication. This means that a subsidy cannot be applied for twice for 1 activity.
  • Use of the grant must contribute to the goal of enabling meeting and/or healthy growing up.
  • The prerequisite is that village halls, Social Cultural Work and other interested parties talk to each other about how to spend the subsidy so that there is broad support within the village.
  • With a grant award comes a determination. In order to establish a grant, it must be clear what the money was spent on and that this is in accordance with the agreement. This means you are required to provide accountability after awarding and spending.
  • This grant is explicitly one-time.
  • Eligible applications may include, for example:
    • Activities
      • Organizing meetings for young people between the ages of 14 and 18.
      • Setting up buddy projects
    • Inventory
      • Dressing up a space with such things as couches, a pouf and other lighting to make the space more attractive for "chilling out
      • Adaptation(s) of the kitchen so that cooking workshops for lonely residents can finally be organized
    • Adjustments
      • Creating a disabled toilet that improves accessibility
      • A sliding wall so that a large room can be divided into two small rooms, each with its own activities
