Today was a busy and festive day in Tytsjerksteradiel: 9 couples tied the knot in our municipality.
Most of the weddings took place at the town hall in Burgum. In addition, there were also ceremonies today at the Pleats and Princenhof. Our special civil registrars had their hands full. One of them even officiated at three weddings today.
What's special is that a colleague from the Civil Affairs Department got married today, too. Today, she was on the other side for a change: not at work, but as a bride.
We’ve noticed that getting married on the 26th of the month is popular this year. Weddings are already scheduled for this date in other months as well. Couples who want to tie the knot on July 27, 2027, will have to be patient for a little while longer. You can’t register for a wedding until a year in advance.
