Child care reimbursement
Do you use childcare for your child(ren)? Or are you following a pathway to employment from the municipality and need childcare? Then you must first apply for childcare allowance from the Belastingdienst. You then pay a contribution of your own. If you are unable to pay this yourself, you may receive a contribution/compensation from us. You must meet a number of conditions.
How does it work?
Have you applied for childcare allowance from the tax authorities? Then, under certain conditions, you can apply to the municipality for reimbursement of childcare costs.
Am I entitled to an allowance for child care expenses?
You can receive an allowance/compensation from the municipality if you:
- follows a municipal pathway toward employment;
- is pursuing a course of study;
- works and receives supplemental assistance benefits;
- follows an integration program;
- received a social medical indication for this.
How do I apply for a child care expense reimbursement?
You do that with an application for special assistance. You can apply for reimbursement before or after you incur the expenses.
When will I be notified?
Once we have received the form, you will be notified as soon as possible whether you are entitled to reimbursement of child care costs.
