Acceleration Agenda

The Acceleration Agenda is the implementation program of the Regio Deal Northeast Fryslân for the period 2020-2025 The program is part of the Regiodeal Northeast Fryslân which the municipalities Achtkarspelen, Dantumadiel, Noardeast-Fryslân, Tytsjerksteradiel and the province of Fryslân concluded with the state. The Regio Deal is a collaboration between the national government and the region to build a powerful region of Northeast Fryslân where good living, working, learning and recreation are given an essential role. The focus is on 'Education and labor market', 'Innovation and entrepreneurship' and 'Further development of regional cooperation. 

The Acceleration Agenda closed on July 1, 2025. In recent years, more than 230 projects and collaborations have been worked on to make the region stronger, more resilient and future-proof. 

Grant applications no longer possible

Grant applications could be submitted until July 1, 2025. Ongoing projects will be implemented through 2026.

In 2026, Planbureau Fryslân will do the final evaluation of the Acceleration Agenda.
