Cultural historical walk Burgum

This hiking trail consists of two parts. The first part goes through the built-up area and is about 3 km. The second part goes through the outskirts of Burgum. The total walk is about 9 km, starts at the town hall and ends at hotel-restaurant 't Roodhert. There are plenty of places along the route for a break. The cultural-historical walking route through Burgum was partially realized with financial support from the Province of Fryslân. The route can be found at the bottom of this page.

Roundabouts with an honorable mention

In 2006 Landschapsbeheer organized a ommetjes competition. Three ommetjes in Tytsjerksteradiel ended in the first 10 with an honorable mention: The Ritskeboskpaad and the Belvedêrepaad in Burgum and the Stedmapaad in Eastermar.
