Road and sewer work can always cause some (traffic) disruption. Of course we try to keep this to a minimum. But we cannot prevent it completely. We ask for your understanding.

Major Road Maintenance 2026

Major road maintenance on the municipal roads in the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel will begin on June 8. The schedule below shows where this will result in road closures or disruptions. The paving work will take place during weeks 24 through 27 (from June 8 through July 4, 2026).

Residents will be notified personally by the contractor. Local traffic is often permitted (with some inconvenience), and through traffic will be rerouted.

The work is being carried out by De Wilde Wegenbouw. The contact person on behalf of the Municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel is Mr. L. de Zee, who can be reached by phone at 140511.

Roadwork on Rijksstraatweg (N355) between Noardburgum and Twijzel

From weeks 22 through 29 (May 26 through July 17, 2026), a section of Rijksstraatweg between the roundabout at Noardburgum and the roundabout at Twijzel will be closed. Work will be carried out on the main roadway, and a roundabout will be constructed near Wyldpaed. It is necessary to completely close the provincial road for a short period of time. Through traffic will be rerouted via Koostertille, Drachten, and Burgum.
