Major asphalt maintenance on the municipal asphalt roads in the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel will start on June 6. The attached schedule shows where this will lead to closures/inconvenience.  The asphalting work will take place in weeks 23 to 39.

Local residents will receive a personal message from the contractor. Local traffic is often possible (with some inconvenience) and through traffic is diverted. 

The work is being carried out by De Wilde road construction. The contact person on behalf of the Municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel is Mr. L. de Zee.

On behalf of the province of Fryslân, we would like to inform you that work will start on the N355 from Monday, August 25. The company A. Hak will start relocating cables and pipelines in your neighborhood on behalf of Vitens, Liander and Stedin.

What will you notice from the work?

Your street, home or business will be temporarily less accessible during this period. A diversion route applies. The Ieswei is closed in both directions from the intersection with Rijksstraatweg for cars and agricultural traffic. Cyclists can still use the temporary cycle paths. Motorized traffic must use the Kooiweg diversion route. The N355 remains open to through traffic.

We will, however, limit the speed to 50 km/h, and there may be periods when agricultural traffic uses the main carriageway or temporary traffic lights are installed.

The water pressure may also be lower, and the water may sometimes have a brown color. Brown water is not harmful to your health. In exceptional cases, you will temporarily have no water. We will announce this in advance with a card in your mailbox.

When we lay new cables and pipes, we have to temporarily shut off the gas and/or electricity. As a result, you will have no gas and/or electricity for a short time. We will send you a message at least three working days in advance with the exact time and estimated duration of these interruptions.

Why are we carrying out these activities?

In connection with the reconstruction of the Wyldpaed intersection commissioned by the province of Friesland, Vitens, Liander, and Stedin will relocate the cables and pipelines prior to these activities.
