On behalf of the Province of Fryslân, we would like to let you know that work will start on the N355 from Monday, August 25, 2025. On behalf of Vitens, Liander and Stedin, the company A. Hak will start moving cables and pipes in your neighborhood.

What will you notice about the work?

Your street, home or business will be temporarily less accessible during this period. A detour route is applicable. The Ieswei will be closed in both directions from the junction with Rijksstraatweg for cars and agricultural traffic. Cyclists can still use the temporary bicycle lanes. Motorized traffic must use the Kooiweg detour route. The N355 will remain open for through traffic.

However, we do limit speeds to 50 km/h and there may be periods when agricultural traffic goes via the main roadway or temporary traffic lights are placed.

Also, the water pressure may be lower and the water may sometimes have a brown color. Brown water is not harmful to your health. In exceptional cases, you may be temporarily without water. We will announce this in advance with a card in your mailbox.

When we lay new cables and pipes, we have to temporarily cut off the gas and/or electricity. As a result, you will have no gas and/or electricity for a short period of time. At least three working days in advance we will send you a message with the exact time and estimated duration of these interruptions.

Why do we carry out this work?

In connection with addressing the Wyldpaed intersection on behalf of Fryslân Province, Vitens, Liander and Stedin are relocating cables and pipes prior to this work.
