Work on the Skûlenboarch Solar Park has been temporarily suspended
On April 15, Zonnepark Skûlenboarch BV received an order subject to a penalty from the Province of Fryslân for violating the Environment Act, specifically the provisions regarding flora and fauna. This means that all construction work on the solar park has been suspended until a decision is reached regarding the environmental assessment.
The Municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel is a shareholder in Zonnepark Skûlenboarch BV. The Province of Friesland is the competent authority under the Environment Act, specifically regarding flora and fauna, and the FUMO is responsible for oversight. The Municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel and Zonnepark Skûlenboarch BV are engaged in constructive discussions with all parties and are working toward a solution.
