Waste collection in the week of Monday, January 12

The schedule currently looks like this:

  • Organic waste bin: The organic waste bin will not be emptied this week. We will be back to collect the green container from Monday, January 19.
  • Sorting bin:
On Monday, January 12, there will be no waste collection due to slippery conditions caused by frozen snow and ice. We want to drive our large trucks safely and without damage, and unfortunately that is not possible on a day like today. We will make up for this week's waste collection as follows:
    • The collection scheduled for Wednesday, January 7, will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 13.
    • The collection scheduled for Thursday, January 8, will be rescheduled for Wednesday, January 14.
    • The collection scheduled for Monday, January 12, will be made up on Thursday, January 15.
  • Waste paper and cardboard: In Noardburgum, Suwâld, and Wyns, we did not collect waste paper and cardboard on Friday, January 9. We will do so on Friday, January 16.
In the villages where associations collect waste paper, collections were canceled last week. The new collection dates will be updated in the Waste App.

The Omrin app automatically sends you a notification every week when your waste is scheduled to be collected. Due to the winter weather, the schedule may sometimes change. You will also receive notifications about this. This may make it seem as if the information is contradictory. Therefore, always check the app itself for the latest, correct collection time.

Christmas tree collection delayed

The winter weather has caused considerable delays to the collection campaign. We expect that it will take us a week longer than planned. Just leave your Christmas tree where it is, and we will collect it as soon as we can.
