Wmo transport

Do you want to go somewhere? For example, to the hospital, the hairdresser or family? And can't manage to go by public transport? Ask your family, friends or neighbors for help. On this page you will also find transportation you can arrange yourself.

Transportation you arrange yourself

Can't get around by public transportation? And there is no one who can help you? Then there are several options for transportation that you can arrange yourself.

BurgumMobyl

Do you live in Burgum and need transportation within zip code 9251? Then you can use BurgumMobyl. This is a small-scale transport service for people with physical disabilities. A single ride costs €1 per person. You can only pay with a rides card. This is on sale at supermarkets Poiesz, Plus and Jumbo and at the Wereldwinkel (only at stores in Burgum).

ANWB AutoMaatje

ANWB AutoMaatje is a voluntary transportation service for and by residents of our municipality. Are you less mobile? Then you can request a ride for example to visit the doctor, the hairdresser, the supermarket nearby or when you want to visit family in the municipality. A volunteer resident uses his or her own car for transportation. You pay 35 cents per kilometer.  

NOTE: AutoMaatje does not drive in Burgum; residents can contact BurgumMobyl for rides in Burgum.

Book your ride with ANWB AutoMaatje at least 2 working days in advance. You can do so by calling 06-23793788. 

Opstapper

Would you like to use public transportation, but there is no connection to regular Public Transportation? Then you can use the Opstapper.

Transportation arranged for you by the municipality (Wmo transportation)

Do you have an illness or disability and cannot travel by public transportation? Then contact the area team by calling 14 0511 (available from 09:00 to 16:30). Together we will discuss whether you qualify for Wmo transportation. 

Cab transportation - Jobinder

Within the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, Jobinder provides cab transport for people who cannot travel independently. With the transport pass you can travel up to 25 kilometers within a radius of your home address with Jobinder. You pay an own contribution for this. The price depends on the length of your trip.

Booking

The Jobinder website allows you to book a ride 24 hours a day. After booking a ride, you will receive a confirmation via email. Prefer to reserve a ride by phone? You can do so between 06:00 and 00:00 by calling 0900-40 50 500.

Valys

Do you have a Wmo transport pass and is your travel destination further than 25 kilometers? Then you can request Valys transportation for these trips. This is door-to-door cab transport, or cab transport in combination with the train. You can apply via the Valys website.    

With your application, you need an award from the municipality that you are entitled to Wmo transportation. For questions about this, please contact the Area Team at telephone number 14 0511 (available from 09.00 to 16.30).
