Social Support Act transport

Do you need to get somewhere, such as a hospital, hairdresser, or to visit family? And are you unable to use public transport? Ask your family, friends, or neighbors for help. On this page, you will also find transport options that you can arrange yourself.  

If this is not possible for you, please contact the Area Team by calling 14 0511 (available from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM). We will discuss with you whether you are eligible for Wmo taxi transport. 

Transportation that you arrange yourself

Is it not possible to use public transport? And is there no one who can help you? Then there are several options for transport that you arrange yourself.

BurgumMobyl

Do you live in Burgum and need transportation within the 9251 postal code area? Then you can use BurgumMobyl. This is a small-scale transportation service for people with physical disabilities. A single ride costs €1 per person. You can only pay with a ride card. These are available at Poiesz, Plus, and Jumbo supermarkets, and at the World Shop (only at stores in Burgum).

ANWB AutoMaatje (ANWB Car Buddy)

ANWB AutoMaatje is a volunteer transport service for and by residents of our municipality. Are you less mobile? Then you can request a ride to, for example, visit your general practitioner, the hairdresser, the supermarket in the neighborhood, or when you want to visit family in the municipality. A volunteer resident uses his or her own car for transportation. You pay 35 euro cents per kilometer.  

PLEASE NOTE: AutoMaatje does not operate in Burgum; residents can contact BurgumMobyl for rides in Burgum.

Opstapper (hitchhiker)

Do you want to use public transport, but there is no connection to regular public transport? Then you can use the Opstapper.

Transportation that the municipality arranges for you (Wmo transportation)

Do you have an illness or disability and are unable to travel by public transport? Please contact the area team by calling 14 0511 (available from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Together, we will discuss whether you qualify for Wmo transport. 

Taxi transport - Jobinder

Within the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel, Jobinder provides taxi transport for people who cannot travel independently. With the transport pass, you can travel a maximum of 25 kilometers within a radius around your home address with Jobinder. You pay a personal contribution for this. The price depends on the length of your journey.

Reservation

You can reserve a ride 24 hours a day via the Jobinder website. After reserving a ride, you will receive a confirmation via email. Would you prefer to reserve a ride by telephone? You can do so between 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM by calling 0900-40 50 500

Valys (National social transport system)

Do you have a Wmo transport pass and is your travel destination further than 25 kilometers? Then you can apply for Valys transport for these journeys. This is taxi transport from door to door, or taxi transport in combination with the train. You can submit an application via the Valys website.    

With your application, you need an allocation from the municipality confirming your entitlement to Wmo transport. For questions about this, please contact the Area Team on telephone number 14 0511 (available from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
