Microchipping dogs and other pets
Since April 1, 2013, it has been mandatory to microchip and register puppies! On the Chip je dier website you can find more information about the obligation and read the answers to frequently asked questions. You will also find an overview of the designated databases for registration.
Chipping and registering is also possible and useful for other pets such as cats. For example, in the event of loss or theft, the owner can be traced in this way. Your veterinarian can advise you on this.
Lost pets
Do you want to report a missing pet? Please contact Amivedi-Nederland to register your missing or found pet. Visit the Amivedi.nl website for all contact details. You can also contact the animal shelters if necessary.
The animal may be lying dead by the side of the road. A photo is taken of cats found dead by the side of the road by the municipality's external services. The animals are then removed. If the cat is chipped, we will try to find the owner. These found animals are reported by the municipality to Amivedi.nl.
Report sick birds (possibly due to bird flu)?
Would you like to report sick birds?
- Then call 0512 - 330 001.
