80 years of freedom in Tytsjerksteradiel
This year, we commemorate and celebrate that World War II ended in Friesland 80 years ago, and we have lived in freedom ever since. Throughout the province, we reflect on the fact that Friesland was liberated thanks to the efforts of soldiers from allied countries and with the help of the resistance. We do this with activities and commemorations in which stories from that time encourage reflection on the meaning for today's world.
There are also many activities in Tytsjerksteradiel surrounding the 80th anniversary of freedom. We have already experienced many special moments in recent weeks, but in the coming period you can still see, hear and feel all kinds of things about the liberation in our beautiful villages. There are various lectures, commemorations, walks and celebrations for young and old.
