First integrated inspection at business park in Tytsjerksteradiel

In cooperation with the Regional Information and Expertise Center (RIEC) and the police, the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel carried out the first integral inspection at an industrial park in Burgum. During this unannounced inspection, specific attention was paid to fire safety and building constructions of buildings, waste materials, storage of substances and whether a company fits within the environmental plan. The prevention of undermining activities was also central.

Important findings

During the inspection, several violations were found, including unsafe storage of substances and waste materials, and unreported business activities. “These findings confirm the importance of integral inspections and the added value of a joint approach,” said Mayor Tineke Schokker. “We do not allow any undermining in our municipality and actively enforce this.”

Working together for a safe environment

The municipality, together with its partners, actively focuses on supervision and enforcement to guarantee the quality of life and safety. Such checks not only help in enforcing regulations, but also contribute to the early detection of risks.
