The Best Idea from TD Chosen!
With a festive gathering, the Best Idea of TD was chosen: a village garden in Sumar. The intention is to organize a place in the village together for meeting and connection. A communal garden that also produces healthy products for less fortunate villagers. The submitter, Sierd Veenstra, proudly accepted the award. The jury declared the idea the winner because it promotes equal opportunities, participation and diversity. "The initiative promotes social welfare, has impact, shows involvement, is feasible and well thought out!", according to the jury.
Ideas from the community
The municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel believes it is important that all residents can participate and feel equal, heard and seen. This year, the municipality organized 'The Best Idea of TD' for the first time. A great way to collect inclusive ideas from the 'community'. And it has become clear that those ideas are there.
Pleasantly surprised by the entries
Great proposals came from various parts of the municipality. Alderman Caroline de Pee is pleasantly surprised by the submissions: "We received a wide range of ideas, from vacations for people with limited means to an inclusive playground, and from activities that promote the visibility of the LHBTIQ+ community to a green schoolyard."
Selection by the jury
A jury made a selection of the best ideas from these submissions, taking into account the pre-set conditions. The submitters of the best ideas were awarded a nice sum of money for the implementation of their idea. In total, 28,000 euros was awarded to submitted ideas.
