Humanitas receives first copy of updated Money Guide

Today, Mr. Elzinga, Mr. van Dijk, and Mrs. van Dellen from Humanitas Home Administration received the first copy of the updated money guide from Councillor Caroline de Pee.

The Money Guide provides information about (financial) support

In the Netherlands, many regulations and allowances are in place. However, many people are unaware of these regulations and what they are entitled to. As a result, many people live in (threatened) poverty. The 'geldgids' (money guide) provides an overview of available benefits, regulations and allowances. The guide also lists organizations that can offer help. 'With the money guide, we want to help residents find their way in the maze of regulations and organizations,' says Councillor Caroline de Pee.

Does that apply to me?

The money guide refers to the website www.datgeldtvoormij.nl/tytsjerksteradiel. The municipality has been affiliated with 'Dat geldt voor mij' (That applies to me) since November 2023. The website offers a complete overview of all national allowances and municipal schemes. Online, people can easily and anonymously check what they are eligible for. It is also possible to do this check together with a volunteer from Humanitas. An application can be made directly via the site.

Money Guide free for everyone

The Money Guide can be picked up for free at the town hall. The guide can also be requested by telephone via 14 05 11. A digital version is available directly via www.t-diel.nl/geldgids

Other organizations and facilities will also soon receive money guides to distribute to anyone who needs them. The municipality hopes to help residents make ends meet with a low income by distributing the money guide.

Councilor Caroline de Pee presents the money guide to Mr. van Dijk, Mr. Elzinga and Mrs. van Dellen from Humanitas. The money guide is a publication of the municipality of Tytsjerksteradiel.
