Facade Garden Project in Aldtsjerk

Let’s brighten up the neighborhood together!

Residents of Van Sminiaweg can once again apply for free facade gardens this year. This applies to selected addresses where the properties are suitable for a facade garden. All of these addresses have received a letter inviting them to participate in the project.

Together, we can make Aldtsjerk even greener, more colorful, and more beautiful. A small façade garden adds color to your doorstep, helps cool the street, and improves rainwater drainage. The plants attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects—which is good for nature and for a vibrant village.

Here's how it works:

You live on Van Sminiaweg in Aldtsjerk.
Your facade faces the street (public property).
The municipality will install the small façade garden free of charge and provide the plants.
You will then be responsible for maintenance.
